We meet together for worship every Sunday at 10.45 am. Services are usually led by the minister or a local preacher. Sometimes our worship follows a fairly traditional pattern whilst, on other occasions, it is more contemporary but there's always something for everyone.
We have an activity for children and young people every Sunday which runs concurrently with the Sunday service. The service begins with everyone together before the children and young people go to another part of the building for their own activities. Amongst many other things, we have lots of stories and do craft work, drama and music. We also take time to discuss how the teaching of the Bible should be interpreted and applied in our lives. A greater emphasis is placed on this as the children grow older.
Bible Study Fellowship
We meet every other Wednesday evening at 7.30 pm to study the Bible together. This is a united activity with our friends from Codnor Methodist Church and we alternate the venue between Waingroves and Codnor. Please check with us to determine time and location before you travel
Prayer is a constant part of Christian life on both an individual and collective basis. However, we meet specifically to pray about our concerns for the local community and the wider world on the first Saturday of each month at 10.15 am.
Tea and Chat
Our 'drop in' session held on Thursday afternoons from 2 pm to 4 pm gives everyone a chance to call in, have refreshments and share conversation. All are welcome whether you have two minutes or two hours.
Stay and Play
Pre-school age children and their parents and carers meet every Wednesday afternoon in school term time from 1.30 pm to 3 pm. We have books, puzzles, crafts, 'ride on' toys and much more for the children whilst parents and carers can chat whilst children play in a safe environment.
We have a very active Table Tennis Club which is affiliated to ETTA, provides qualified coaching to all ages and abilities and fields teams in the Derby & District Leagues.
